As this is solo practise making larger movements (with bigger kamae) and thus learning correct taijutsu is recommended. The counting can be fast, but the movement itself has a rythm that should be natural, like a heartbeat. This is not fast, is speeds up but this is always followed by a semi-pause. Many things are revealed by studying sanshin no kata. Just a traditional warm-up?
If you want to be fast; make 2 steps instead of 3, again correct taijutsu.

NICE VIDEO! I LIKE HOW ALL OF THE KATA's STARTED FROM SOSHIN NO KAMAE. I LEARNED CHI NO KATA AND FU NO KATA FROM SOSHIN NO KAMAE, THEN KA NO KATA, KU NO KATA, AND SUI NO KATA FROM ICHIMONJI NO KAMAE.
THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS VIDEO, LEARNED FROM WATCHING THE RHYTHM

@drak01000 You must understand the essence of what the Kata is teaching. It looks easy, but there is a lot there that one does not see. That is why you cannot learn this properly watching videos. You must learn from a qualified teacher.

As Soke Masaaki Hatsumi said "SanShiN No Kata Proves ur knowledge of Taijutsu as years pass in your train the more improve you make shows just from show to him the Sanshin No Kata .Its not A warm up its what u actually know and thats the truth.

Sorry but I must disagree, this is fine for beginners but your sanshin should evole over time. no sense of kamae, in this "technique", no real sense of "proper breath" or focus, as a warm cool as sanshin.....i'll reserve comment. Gambatte!

we also do this at our dojo its a very good warm up from someya
it doesn't seem to be a difficult martial art, not very technical

This is one of very few kata you practice without a partner. We often use it as a part of the warm up routine. The movements is easy, and at the same time difficult, it depends on how deep you look.
