The Friends of Colac Library have a new song, and there a more to come check it out!
The F.O.C.L.'s have a new Song!
*INFORMATION*
"JUL" is a Joint Use Library
in this case a "Joint Use School Library" where the Public is forced to mix with School Children as young as 12, because the JUL is their SCHOOL LIBRARY!
*Original Public Library had 29,000 Public books.
*Joint Use School Library has 29,000 Public books.
*the JUL is located 2km out of Town.
*The Colac Otway Shire Council Ignored over 4,500 Petitions against the JUL Project, and then a 66% Election Mandate at the 2008 Council Elections.
*The Council's motivation? = OFFICE SPACE!The Old Library Building will be used by the Council's planning Dept, exept for 100 square meters which the F.O.C.L.'s fought for to be used as a Library Annex, this will have to do until a Public Library is obtained for Colac.
