Nadine Hankerson is one of the candidates for the seat that was held by Carlton Moore for 20 years. Hankerson said she's focused on giving residents a voice and a "place at the table.'' She favors a vision being put on paper for the northwest, based on what residents say they want.
She thinks the area's history is very important, and should be honored by whatever is redeveloped there.
The people who've lived there should be the ones benefiting, as well, she says.
"I'm very process oriented,'' she said.
"I think what sets me apart from them is that I'm multi-faceted,'' she said.
She said she understands cultural diversity, has an advanced degree and international experience, and understands economics.
Senior housing is on voters' minds, she said.
Peace be with you:
Interesting topic. I googled 'Hankerson" because I am a Hankerson myself.
Heard 'ALL' Hankerson/Hankinson are the same and related.?
Out of respect, I like to say hi. Peace.
Respectfully,
E. Hankerson IV
