Irena Dubrovna, jeune new-yorkaise, est hantée par la peur d'être la descendante d'une race de femmes monstres, qui se transforment en panthères dès qu'elles perdent leur virginité. Oliver Reed, un architecte naval, tombe amoureux d'elle et l'épouse. Mais le comportement de la jeune mariée, qui se refuse à son mari, va se dégrader d'une inquiétante manière...

La Mujer Pantera es la película con la que más me he identificado a nivel - femenino-. Creo que además de una gran historia; describe ese "sexto sentido y sus mundos paralelos" de algunas , solo algunas...Mujeres.

Great noir lighting by Nick Musuraka, dir. Jacques Tourneur. The same team in another noir classic Out of the Past, with Rob Mitchum and Kirk Douglas. Important part of the therapist played in this movie by George Sanders brother. Not for young kids.

I love this movie. The lighting, the sets, everything. I've seen it several times and will view it again soon. If you appreciate films, this is truly one to study. There was tremendous talent evident here, creating this marvelous work.
