DEVO: TEXAS PROS & CONS 1982

Fresh out of a Houston jail in mid-1982, where the guards reportedly abused the band verbally and demanded they sing repeated choruses of "Whip It" for their fellow inmates, Mark Mothersbaugh of DEVO attempts to explain the philosophies of the New Traditionalist Man and Dallas' Church of the SubGenius to a complete ninny from the Showtime cable channel. With any luck, DEVO's March 2009 visit to Texas for their showcase at the SXSW music festival will be less traumatic.
