Really nice rockwork.
I just tonight bought what are supposed to be three jewel cichlids but I've got a feeling that Thomasis are what they actually are.

i also had 2 zebra danio and they wer fine untill one died and i fort it was the cichlid because a few days after my 2 little krib ended up dead so i eventualy caught (very fast fish) and put him in my brothers community tank

yh i hav 3firemouths 1big 2smaller and 3 big acaras and 2 kribs and 2 sajica. my jewels are a cocky fish the wer fighting a bit and the tiny dwarf jewel beat it the firemouth jst swam away

nice tank, ive got 2 of them and ther supposed 2 be community and ther aggressive to every thing in my tank the dont always win tho i hav acaras firemouth sajica and they do start fights with them and ther tiny compared 2 the others

I keep these guys with 6 Zebra danios as a dither fish and basically the thomasi leave them alone. Could have to do with the levels at which they live: Danios stick to the top; dwarf jewels stick to the bottom. As far as aggressiveness goes the thomasi are still cichlids with territory. My tank may be working well because it is a 20H and there is vertical space for each type. Also there are four cichlids, so they are preoccupied with each other. Most fish are happier in groups of 3 or more.
