@konjunktion26 I want to write a book about the life of an alien on another planet. To give a simpler idea, I suppose it would be a similar sort of writing to 'Finn the Wolfhound', which is a book about the life of a dog. Do you see? It's a book about the life of a creature that lives on another planet, not like Star Wars, but like Pod's Travels, an episode of Dinosaur Planet.

My problem is that it's difficult to work out how I should write it; should it be an imaginative account, a sort of field guide or a sort of NatGeo's Alien Planet storyline? If you have any ideas of any sort, I'd enjoy seeing them.

I've got an idea for a whole planet filled with perfectly adapted creatures, but this is all an idea. I want to write at least one book about it but I can't decide what kind of a book, because in my head it was more like a documeantary, such as 'The Future Is Wild', but a lot of these documentaries start with a book. I can't thnk of a good format. Should I write a sci-fi adventure story, or an imaginary field guide to the extraterrestrials in my mind. Could someone help me out with ideas?
