  • At the end when Edith Ann says "and that's the true (sticking her tongue out and making a sound)" does that mean "that's the true story?"

  • Actually, she said ''And that's the truth.''

  • What a simple segment: Just a pseudo-little girl and a Monster, sitting on a big chair and talking. No flashing lights or special effects, and no background music. How EVER did they think the kids watching this on TV would sit still for a whole minute & 15 seconds to watch it???

This little segment has a lot more charm than all the flashy new segments on today's "Sesame Street" combined!

  • A simple, uplifting message, presented by an eternal child and a friendly monster. Children of all ages will enjoy this charming segment for generations to come.

  • Very tranquil character.

  • I read about this in the book creepiosity or whatever the hell its called. I didn't know about her before, but she is really creepy! o_o

  • Edith Ann ROCKS!

  • this is how we subtled ourselves down after

    Bohemian Rhapsody.

  • I use to find this woman scary as a kid :)

  • That's true, since Herry Monster is the replacement monster for "Beautiful Day Monster", and I know "Beautiful Day Monster" is a monster who did sometimes bully Ernie, and sometimes Herry Monster bullies and teases Ernie.

I guess Herry has his friendly moments when he makes a street scene to some of the kids who live on Sesame Street (I remember him being very friendly to Gabi), and he's friendly during the "Monster/Muppet and Kid" scenes. (I know they don't do those kind of skits anymore).

  • Thank you. Now that I listen carefully, I can hear her saying "and that's the truth."

But I'm not sure what she means when she sticks out her tongue and making that sound. It feels like she's teasing Herry or, she didn't like saying what she said, and with her doing that it feels like she's saying to Herry "thanks a lot for making me say something I don't like to say!"

  • Herry Monster does have his friendly moments at times but he was the baddest of all monsters on Sesame Street.
