If you bothered to actually listen to the bckd of NZ's arrangement, you'll realize that there are some extremely distinct differences. Example: One of the signature parts of PM's arrangement was the staccato bckgd in the bridge to the chorus, which was completely missing in NZ's song. Calling this musical plagiarism is like saying Boyz II Men ripped off The Beatles when they arranged "Yesterday". Songs have fundamental characteristics that'll be replicated in ANY arrangement, so get used to it.

Brilliant choice on the last song...very few SA groups would be able to pull that off without a beatboxer like that...Great set too overall!
-
Fantastic performance guys - keep up the good work
Yours beatboxers got talent

This was a stellar performance, NZ :) Congratulations on 1st place! Lively choreo, great dynamics and blend, well-arranged music. And the same killer beatboxer as the year before.

ive been a penn masala fan for a very long time now, but this performance (especially the "tu hi re" one) was much better than anything i have seen penn masala do in a very long time...great job, would love to see you guys live.

wow, the yeh honsla solo is awesome. great job. how many people in this group are classically trained?

This is great. And wow your beatboxer has some solid skills. Props

Very nicely done! That was definitely one of the most exciting acapella sets I've seen. Congrats on 1st place!

this is the best arrangement of yeh honsla i've ever heard. i actually like it better than the original!

@runion619 it IS for real. you ARE invited. and we are gonna be off the hook. me and adi are already brainstorming. if you get on gtalk or aim or something, you can join the discussion. katie perry will be part of the reportoire, thats all i can say publically so far.
runion619 - some members of the singing community are putting together an all-star a capella crew, and it might be called 'the nard-dogs.' you're cordially invited.
the nard-dogs have one rule: no vehement snapping prior to the start of the song. it scares me.
on a completely unrelated note - yeh honsla was my favorite song, ever, in the whole world, more than any other song i've ever heard ever. it was an awesome arrangement too. keep it real homies, i got your back.

@SRNChannel Thanks bro. So tell me more about this 'nard-dogs' crew if it's for real. Sounds exciting. Haha i know i fall victim to loud snapping.

bro. mr. singing desi. who are you? First off this arrangement was done without influence of PM's. Secondly it's far better. Thirdly, post ONE good live recording of their 'yeh honsla' that is half as good, and i'll give you some credit. all that digitized music don't count here. This is a competition. If PM wants to prove themselves tell em to come out and compete. The best teams come out. Plus the soloist here rocked it way better than PM's...even after all the pitch correcting on the CD.
