Hawk Diving

Video of a hawk that caught my eye when I was taking some videos of the local area. Unfortunately, I had my sunglasses on and the lighting was such that I had a bit of trouble tracking it, especially as it got farther away, but otherwise got pretty lucky. I caught it diving into a crack in the cliff going after something out of sight and it looks to me like it came out with something in its talons or it may have even had something in its talons when it went into the crack. I would say there is definitely a twig or two and what looks to me like some brush but maybe it had something in there with it. I thought it was odd it didn't drop whatever it was immediately if not because it did look down at it when it was coming out of the crack. You can also see what is left of the old wagon trail to the top of the "rims" near the base of the cliff you see as the hawk is getting farther away and in the thumbnail picture.
