10 students from Christel House India, Bangalore Grades 5 9 are attending a workshop on Robot Making conducted by one of our volunteers, Mr. Nikhil, who works with Tata Consultancy Services. This is conducted by Mr. Nikhil every Saturday and followed up by the key teachers in school in the last hour every day. The organizers Systems Application and Products (SAP), also provided Lego Mind Storm Kits. The participants have to make a working robot which can perform tasks based on the theme Smart Moves Transforming Transportation. After intensive preparation, the teams will participate in regional competitions and demonstrate their work. This competition will be conducted by The First Lego League (FLL) which is an international program for children aged 9 to 14 (10 to 16 in Europe) that combines a hands-on, interactive robotics competition with a fun and sports like atmosphere.
