(CONT FROM BELOW) the plane makes a beautifull 2 point landing and stops near the Lt General. He slowly picked it up an walked towards me, I was toasted, finished, I'll be lucky if I crewed a bus after that...
Still holding the airplane, he asked if I was on alert, "Yes sir, and I have my radio right there.."
Then he asked me to show me "how to wind it up" and proceeded to fly it a few times... I was the "ground crew" so to speak.
Then he said, "this never happened" "Don't fly here no nore..."

I see you're an expert on indoor flying !
My dad died flying a 180 in Argentin 1969...
In 1990 I was in the Strategic Air Command, in Eielson AFB, AK, as a crew chief on a RC-135 X (2662)
There I build a 180 rubber pwered, on weekend duty alert, I was flying it in our hangar, big enough for 2 135s. I trimmed it to fly a gentle "S". Right in the middle of one flight, the Sq Commander walks in on the other side, he sees the 180 comming at him and stops... cont..
did you make any modifications to this kit? I have the same kit and it doesnt fly very well; it descends slightly but won't climb or fly level.
Thanx. CJ

Yes, there is one major modification. I built from the Carl Goldberg plan, rather than the kit and used 1/32 contest balsa for most of the plane. It came out quite lite at 11g, without rubber.
