03/07/09 - British mom Susan Talbot goes to Los Angeles Police Department's Hollywood Division to file a welfare check request on her daughter Mandy, only to learn Mandy came into the division that morning with a group of handlers; Ms. Talbot leaves LAPD after being rebuffed by Sgt. Torres, clearly an apologist for the cult, who chastises Smurf about his protest sign mentioning Mandy's name; Smurf refuses police request to refrain from using sign in protest.

I'm certain that after the Rodney King issue, LAPD changed their slogan from "To serve and protect" to "We'll treat you like a King!" which is more accurate.

Sgt. Torres should be FIRED. This is WRONG... any other police department would have more prudence and responsibility than this. the Los Angeles Police Department should be ASHAMED of themselves!!!
