The Landis Theatre -- located at East and Landis Avenues in downtown Vineland, NJ -- is an historic, 1930s-era movie house and the cornerstone of a multi-million dollar revitalization project.
While it's certainly no threat to win an Oscar this year, this short video is the first in a series that will take you inside the project so you can watch the progress being made.
Go look this up on youtube...type in the search box "A TOWN LIKE VINELAND - SPiT SHOW"....ha!!!

Don't get me wrong, I love old structures. I especially love old train stations. But see here's the thing. There were many other theaters and places that could have been salvaged and weren't. Much more important one's like the Filmore East in Lower Manhattan and the Filmore West in San Francisco. Not to mention others. it's the idea that they keep putting this theater project much to much in the line of importance, rather than some other issues here.

This town is on plan # 3,961 as far as Landis Ave is concerned. In the meantime they keep raising our taxes! This town could have had a major rock festival, put on by a major promoter that did Glastonbury and Reading Rock Festival, but instead they chose not to, and do things like this, etc, etc. Now we're negotiating with Bowser...., for a show you can hold in a phone booth, Mickey Dee's or the SPCA....hahahaha. Our town had a chance to be on the world stage and they blew it!
