In grand "X-Files" manner, the film's storyline is being kept under wraps. This much can be revealed: It is a stand-alone story in the tradition of some of the show's most acclaimed and beloved episodes, and takes the complicated relationship between Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) in unexpected directions. Mulder continues his unshakable quest for the truth, and Scully, the passionate, ferociously intelligent physician, remains inextricably tied to Mulder's pursuits. In Theaters Friday July 25.

@asjx5 The third movie was already made. It's called Earthlings, narrated by Joaquin Phoenix. The Mighty Quinn says in Earthlings that all the UFOs and the Roswell ETs meant that homo sapiens will soon be obliterated from the planet because of their animal-cruel behaviors - circuses, rodeos, zoos and especially eating poultry, beef and fish. The Phoenix UFOs are V-shaped. V is John Lennon's signature sign; "Pretty soon you'll all be dead" -- a line from John Lennon's song Instant Karma.

This means that when Julius Robert Oppenheimer, the ET who masterminded the atomic bomb, said humans are having too many kids, he meant do whatever it takes to keep from reproducing your animal-cruel selves. @mutscot An X-File is an unexplained mystery, it can range between anything from alien abductions to psychics. And the last time i checked, psychics are pretty supernatural. X-Files is about more than aliens and UFOs, it's about the unexplained happenings in the world, the cases no one else can solve. This movie is incredible, and this is an X-Files fan talking, i adore this movie, by any means easily as fantastic as the series, very often even better.
