Trailer for Silent Memoirs - Life Stories From the Deaf (original version for Deaf)

Original Version for the Deaf. SILENT MEMOIRS is series of documentary style webisodes focusing on the education of the Deaf community, as told by members of that community. How the Deaf are taught, whether to mainstream them with hearing students or in Deaf schools, continues to be a charged debate even today. Historically, the community has been marginalized and denied access to education. Produced by OIC Movies editor and on-camera talent Mary Luczki, SILENT MEMOIRS will reach both Deaf and hearing audiences. All interviews will be conducted in American Sign Language and captioned on the OIC Movies website. The collection of the interviews is a collaborative effort between OIC Movies and One of Us Films.
