Epic Beardness - F# grooves

Little session I conjured up today featuring the obligatory low end chugga chugga of an eight string guitar. I used impulse cabs on every single guitar track so I had the cabs turned off on my POD Farm preset. Have to say I got the sound I wanted much quicker.

I demand to know how you get the sound of that first guitar you use. It's the first time, I think, that I hear something that's heavy, grooving, powerful and smooth.

Really, how did you get that?

@Mindlabytinth I used Line6's POD Farm with a dual-channel tone. One with L6 Big Bottom amp model (kind of bassy, rumbly tone) and the other with the Engl or Solo100 amp + a wah pedal set about 60% on the scale. That way I could get a strong attack and great sustain.

Except I used cabinet impulses instead of Line6 cabinet modeling (in post processing).

@kodoku42 Also, Meshuggah have way better tone than this (which I was kinda after btw) but they too have used Line6 PODs at some point in time.
