Samurai Speed sets yet another GT-R record!!!
Currently the world's fastest GT-R R35.

Sunday, December 21, 2008 at Orlando Speedworld. Temperature was 74 degrees. Running 100 octane.

* Same mods listed in our 10.80 run. We merely changed a few controller settings (still running 17psi).

Launch control was used. John Reese (owner) driving.

@skyline44512 I will always want a manual car, but besides the fun car guy factor in that, I also love speed and performance. If the R35 get's better times because of the fast shipping auto/paddles, I wouldn't be to mad, and hold it against it in the for of not purchasing.

@YOURFAET And on a driving fact, I'd never buy an auto sports car, what catch 22 lol. I know a lot of people feel this way which is why the GT-R is not the hit that Nissan probably thought it would be.

In a drag car you're better off with an auto or air shifter, but for real drivers who don't just use this car at a race track or drag strip, the lack of a manual is killing sales.

@skyline44512 If you wanna feel cool clutching and shit, go ahead. I prefer manuals, but the Skyline's auto w/paddles is sooo quick, on a speed fact, I'd never put a manual gearbox in that puppy! The shifts are beautiful, but imagine a simple trans chip they make for the GTR.... oooweee

@Genukie Ummm, if you think we had a choice of engines, you are sorely mistaken. Nissan determines what we will get, like every other car manufacturer. And very, VERY few import cars, can own a vette. And the ZR1 will slaughter every street legal car on the planet, save for the GT2 RS, around the Ring. Me, well if it is fast, I will most likely like it. Love this GTR!!!
