Here's a brief clip from my home movie of my then favorite console the Sega Genesis. I snuck a quick video sweep of the games I wanted. Easier to make a Christmas List. Filmed in 1990 in Sacramento California.

  • @SkottBot I was a fanatical gamer at 21 years old.

  • Nice video. What's the music at the end? :)

  • @Explorer4Truth It's from the Sega CD player... When there is no game in the drive.

  • @AlirazaVideoGames the camera was about a foot long six or so inches tall... Meaty looking with a shiny Sony lable on it. It cost about $1,499.00 or so in 1989. for roughly 180 lines of resolution. Upscaled in this video of course.

  • Did you happen to also film the Turbografx 16 games?

  • @mokos23 Unfortunately not.

I wonder what kind of game that was for $79.99...

  • Those slips being taken to the register made the whole thing super-sweet, it gave an entire level of anticipation to the experience. My mom or dad paying at the register and taking the ticket to the cage to pick up? OOOOHHHHHH, priceless!

  • I STILL REMEMBER WHEN TOYS R US WAS THE FIRST PLACE TO GO FOR THE NEWES GAMES BACK IN THE DAY NOW WE HAVE GAMESTOP AND TOYS R US IS THE LAST PLACE YOU WANT TO GO TO FIND THE FIRST RELEASES

  • Stupid store employee, breaking up our nostalgia trip! They were probably Lynx fans..

  • Toys R Us used to be so mind blowing when I was a kid. Walk down the isle and drool at the entire wall of games. Anyone remember that show where the winners wore a velcro suit and stuck games to themselves?

  • @gregorysharp u dont have any footage from 1993 - 2000? of toys r us game section?

  • interesante
