I'm not a trumpet player, but I know a great arrangement and great improvisation when I hear it. The YouTube audio doesn't do justice to the actual sound the audience heard. Wish I had been there. I can imagine how much time it took to write out the charts for the other instruments. I've had to write out 1 staff charts for Bb or Eb Sax for some simple standards, and that was a headache.

I played in a band and we did a vocal arrangement of this tune. Since then I've really enjoyed listening to different arrangements of this great song.

I must say that this one is my favorite so far! I wish I was there to listen to it live!
