Advanced Cinematography Master Scene with Working Title "Crush": this is a scene for my advanced cinematography class at Emerson College. The requirement was to film a "master" scene on 16mm. This meant that all action was continuous, no cuts whatsoever. Obviously the style of filming changes to compliment this type of scene. As such, I chose to make a handeld scene that followed a man with a growing sense of fear. This man owes an organization money. The specifics aren't important, but the point is that with a continuous shot following the man, we experience the anticipation just as he does. Filming in a parking garage seemed like a natural choice for the story, and because of the low lighting situation I decided to shoot on Kodak Vision 3 500T (7219) stock using the Arriflex SR.
Filmed and Edited by Jason Estey. Performed by Robert J. La Trémouille (scared man) and Jonathan Smalls ("boss").
