Krakatau Erupts!

Crew of s/v Ohana Kai witness Anak Krakatau's Reawakening.10/22/07.This is early on the 22 of October. We had arrived the day before and the Cone was quiet and showed no venting or even steam. We were actually anchoered inside the old Caldera. We were up early on the 22nd to move the boats to another anhorage on the other side of the cone to climb it that afternoon. This monster vulcano is powering up again. If you knew the Krakatau DISAPEARED under water after the massive erruption ... it is growing again. Exploding day after day. This is a living monster that is gathering strengh to strike again.
