i have a 86 305 tbi it is not stock do you think that cam you have would be healthy for my 305 its badass ive ran 12.11 on slicks but to put the cherry on top ide love an idle like that but im only 16 dont know to much about cams and yes did all the work myself started it when i was 14

the camshaft that's in that motor is way too healthy for your tbi computer to be able to run without PROM tuning. your best bet is to give a camshaft manufacturer a call and get their opinion on what kinda camshaft you should run based on heads/compression/intake/weight/gear/converter, etc.
12.11 must have been 1/8mile because i've never seen a stock cammed/heads/tbi lo3 car run better than about lower 15's in the 1/4. good luck with it!

i am who you say i am.
this camshaft will work well as long as you have the correct valve springs and proper clearance between the valve guides and retainers, though i think you'll have better luck with a camshaft that has about a 10* split between the intake and exhaust duration numbers, as well as something ground on a 112 lsa. comp cams makes some really nice nitrous specific camshafts that are close to this in specs, but will work better with your combo. you should give Comp Cams a call
