Dasa is the shit!!! if your talking about the KFX or the LTR then Dasa, Procircut, FMF, and Vince and Hines are the best choices. if your looking for affordibility then look at DG and HMF.
I don't ride mud, every now and then i'll go over a small puddle thats in my path but i usually just do normal driving, whats the difference between the 2 intakes?
The stock intake would let dirt or water before an aftermarket would, at least on the kfx450r, is that bad. But yeah, dirt or water would mess an engine up. No problems.
Thanks for the information, I have my parts set up to buy but before i buy them i have 2 more questions, I am hearing that if you get an intake and you get a little bit of dirt or water in it it will screw your engine over is that true? And have you ever had any problems with your quad scene you put those parts in? Thanks
When you gear 15/36 do you loose a lot of bottom end? I already have a K&N filter could you tell me a good pipe (besides dasa) because every dealer down here where i live has never heard of that pipe for some reason. Thanks and by the way your quad is sick!

No, if you are going to ride in mud or water keep the airbox...buy a FCI intake.

So by putting an intake in am i taking a big risk at blowing my engine?

As long as you get the Big 3 (pipe, intake, fuel controller) the gearing would actually feel stronger. ESR, Trinity, Nmotion are pretty good pipes.
