The scenes of Sonny and Jason prior to this, they had figured out Ric had Carly and the house had a panic room, they then had the real estate agent brought to Sonny's and she informed Sonny and Jason how to get into the panic room. That's how they knew where to the button was to the room was and which wall it was.

Oh I totally agree - once he allowed the man that held his wife AND child (preggers) captive live he lost any sort of "power"

I completely agree. They don't realize that they are hurting both characters in the process. Ric will never and I mean NEVER be seen as anything other than a psychopath to me and Sonny will always be seen as a pathetic punk to me(no matter how much I love him) for allowing him to live.

That's what I'm STILL trying to figure out and one of the many reasons why I have ceased to watch this show anymore. He killed like three people, made Carly think she was raped/had sex with him, then blackmailed Carly on the lie that he DID rape her,then blackmailed Courtnee into marrying him, then held Carly hostage for an ENTIRE summer! It makes absolutely NO SENSE!
