Having 999 HP, 999 MP, a speed of 50, a physical attack of 99, and a magic attack of 99 seems like you'd have to use a Gameshark or the related in order to have. It turns out that it's entirely possible to have such stats without cheating, rather, exploiting a weakness/design flaw in the game. You've seen the basics for stat-raising, now I'll strap a rocket to the process and fire it off. I'll show you the fastest method I'm aware of, for both basic stat raising and the case of when the stat-raiser is a mime. Unseen in the video is the disabling of messages, effects, and the displaying of gained exp and JP. Phase 1 goes from taking an hour to just 40 minutes. Phase 2 goes from taking 2 hours to taking just 1 (and opens up the possibility of getting 50+ levels within 10 minutes).

  • Would putting Don't Act on (in this case) Matilda make it slightly faster because then all you would have to do is fail teleport and wait since Don't Act would just cancel your act, or would that slow your charge time down in fact doing the opposite of what was intended?

  • I don't recall this game very well, but this is one detail I still recall. When "don't act" or "don't move" are active, the game makes it so that you have done something (nothing) or you've already moved. You'll see CT starting from 20 in these cases instead of 40 if you just wait. If you have "don't act" and you move with a failed teleport, CT starts at 0 instead of 20 which actually makes it slower. Try it to confirm though. Remember to account for overflow.

  • Is this Final Fantasy Tactics on PS one, PSP or PC rom?

  • It's the PS1. At the time I got it, it was the only version I was aware of to exist.

  • each time, do you have to attempt to teleport all the way to the other side of the screen or will the next tile over do?

  • You have to get the teleportation to fail. To guarantee a failure, you have to move to a spot that's at least 10 panels beyond your character's movement range. If that character's move is 5, you'll need to go at least 15 panels away. If you go one tile, you'll have to spend 2 turns to go down a level instead of 2. Failed teleportations makes phase 1 go by 80% faster using the rocket speed method, significantly faster.
