Written in late '80, recorded in early 1981 with Tret Fure, in Los Angeles. Drums: Richie Hayward; bass, Carrie Barton; keys, Colleen Stewart; guitar and vocals, June Millington; additional backing vocals, engineer: Tret Fure. Sometimes songs take awhile to catch up ~ this one has. At the time of writing I'd just completed work on Holly Near's "Fire in the Rain" and John Lennon had been shot, all fresh in my mind and body-experience. May this be of benefit, and thanks to all who contributed and participated. Richie Hayward, best-known as the drummer of Little Feat passed away last year - I send special love to him. We met when we were both young scamps frolicking about in LA, in bands...I remember him with deep affection.
Most of the photos shot by Ann Hackler; edited at the Institute for the Musical Arts, IMA at www.ima.org in Goshen, Massachussetts.

  • Thanks for posting this. I saw you perform in the Village (NYC) sometime in the 80s. A friend told me a Fiipina member of an all-female rock group in the 70s was in town...I was so impressed by you for being a woman and also a Pinay...I brought a cassette (Heartsong) & listened to it for a long time. Had I known it's possible to transfer to digital now, i would have kept it.. So thanks for this--one of my fav tracks along with When Wrong is Right, Keep Me Anymore & I'll Keep Holding On...

  • Really Good Music !

  • Funny...It was Our World or this song I wanted to use for my post. I know you like to rock but I like these songs even better.
