Great fuzzy psychedelic track, released only as promo 45 and not in the LP. From 1969.

  • I worked on this record. I would say it is more EP than Jeff Beck and Van Dyke would always make it his without ripping anyone .... ps: we (electric prunes) did a version of this for Artifact, based on my memory of this track from 69 ....

  • What's the B-Side to it?

  • Fuck yes!!!!! I love this song, I love Randy Newman, thank you SO much for posting this rare 45 version.

  • Frickin' A ball!

  • Holy. Shit.

  • Fire the bum note guitar player.

  • oke haha! maybe I must get used to this sound. But don't you like the album version better?

  • Does anyone find it a strange coincidence that this was produced by Lenny Waronker and the breakdown with the slide guitar sounds like something Beck, who usually uses Lenny's son Joey Waronker as his drummer, would play/sample?

  • This is one of the coolest things I've ever heard. I can't believe this is Van Dyke Parks. So cool! Thank you.

  • Thanx for sharing, but ohh what a noise. I like the version on his studio album Sail Away a lot more! I'm a randy newman fan btw!
