HAPPY BIRTHDAY DOUG DAVIDSON!
Why, you might ask, does Doug get a birthday video from yours truly? (Besides the obvious reasons, I suppose.) The story of Doug and I goes a little something like this:
Most of you know by now that I attended the Y&R Fan Dinner back at the end of August and that it was my first time in California, etc. But if you did not read the update I posted at the Sony board, you don't know what happened before that. About a week before I left, one of my fellow posters at Sony sent Doug my "Paul and Heather /// Fall Apart Again" montage via-Facebook. Evidently he loved it and wanted to know who made it, so I managed to get in contact and tell him. He said he would be at the dinner and would love to meet me.
Well. After seeing a few other folks, I waited in his line during the autograph session (it was a very long line - one of the longest there.) I finally got up there and my mom blurts out that I was the one who made the video he posted on Facebook. He JUMPED out of his seat and gushed ALL OVER ME. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry, it was just so exciting. He was the sweetest, most appreciative man and all I could say was thank-you. He told everyone sitting around us how talented I was and he was so loud people must've wondered what all the fuss was about. It was an experience I will never forget as long as I live. As an added bonus (and part of the reason for the subject of this video) the climax of the Paul/Patty story was playing out while I was in California, when Paul sought sanctuary in Todd's church.
In short, thank-you for everything Doug. It means the world to me. Have a most spectacular birthday.
