Hey Saskia: it seems looks like Refn has coal-black humour and loves to pour shit on people if they don't laugh it off - half the time he's having you on and you aren't seeing the joke, and half the time he seems to be sadistic. When he gets too much, just say no, even if he gets angry; eg., don't massage him. It'd probably break work laws, so don't. Quit the joints, clean up, and do the job well enough to deserve respect. Returning some of his tough humour might even help too, who knows.
