Sony Ericsson C901 Screen Problem

Only happens on white background, such as Playman Summer Games and sometimes when reading short sms (where large amount of white background). Strangely when viewing longer sms content (more than 3 lines), this problem does not occur.

I don't have that problem with mine. Did you drop yours or something? You're the guy who modded your camera, right? Might have something to do with that.

fyi, this problem surfaced way before i modded my camdriver,

and i asked around esato forum, there is also one guy having the same problem but managed to fix it after firmware update.

i tried to do firmware update, but SEUS says i already have the latest firmware, strangely my firmware is R1EA033 which is not the latest one...

Oh. Yeah, I've visited that site a few times after just finding out about it recently and I think I've read that there.

I, myself, never tried doing anything with my phone for fear of breaking it. We have the same firmware. What is the real latest firmware and do you happen to know the improvements? I never tried the Update Service option in my phone, is that the same thing as upgrading firmwares?

the latest one for C901 if i'm not mistaken is R1GA038.

originally my phone was normal for a few months, i bought this phone on May 2009, and this problem later surfaced around August i think. so whether your phone might or might not 'infected', i dont know.

but the guy on esato told me that this problem got something to do with display driver, not hardware problem.

and about update service, yes, it is the same thing.

In 3 months your phone got some problem... jeez, I'd hate it if that would happen with mine. I got mine late October. I think I wanna upgrade mine but am too scared to fiddle with it.

I'm too shy to post on forums. Maybe I'll just look.
