Apologies to the Phil Hendrie subscribers (a rare, non-Phil video uploaded for my trucking buddies). This is a fresh crash on CA I-5 between a tomato truck and a four-wheeler. Emergency response had not yet arrived. A truck passing in the median blocks the view of the car's driver (fatality) lying in the middle of the road....a reminder to STEER CLEAR of these CA tomatoe doubles.
From damage and tracks in median, looks like 4x4 hit that Morning Star truck.
Gotta respect ALL trucks.

Steering clear of these tomatoe doubles is RIGHT! My experience with these trucks aren't very good ones. I usually get passed by them all the time until recently. I noticed that they've actually taken the initiative to slow down more now. Maybe tomatoes hauling companies are taking responsible look at this accident and making their drivers more safety conscious?
I was thinking about leasing my truck on with them. Hope I don't have to endure too much of the "tomatoe doubles" label.

the company i work for is Antonini Fruit Express and we take tomato loads to the Los Gatos cannery in huron ca which is south of the crash site and we also take tomatoes to Stanislaus Food Products in modesto the same cannery that panella takes loads right were the hit and run driver got arrested. Panella trucking and Antonini Fruit Express share a yard in Stockton CA and take tomato loads to the same cannery in modesto of course were the driver was arrested

Yup I heard..a friend of mine works at the 5 points grading station & he told me about it..I guess the driver didn't want to miss a load. But seriously..most people fail to realize that a fully tomato truck doesn't stop on a dime. Most of the accidents I've seen can usually be faulted to the little guy. Do you unload @ Tomatek-Firebaugh?

im not say either that truckers are the safest drivers people make mistakes stupid mistakes that claim lives like the tomato truck driver who fled the scene of the accident which killed 4 occupents from chowcilla ca and injured a women wo survived the crash now the truck driver is facing vehicular manslauther and felony hit and run panella trucking are gonna have some lawsuits on thier hands if they get sued R.I.P to the 4 killed and the driver in this video

hey have you heard on the news about the driver from panella trucking who fail to stop at a stop sign on oakland ave and 269 north of huron the driver stopped and fled the crash site only to be arrested in modesto on his arrival to the tomato cannery. Its sad because every year tomato trucks get into accidents and i know because i work for antonini fruit express but alot of the time its not always the truck driver fault but sometimes a motorist when cutting off a 18 wheeler.
