  • wasn't this arranged by the cheezies back in the day (2005)?

  • @pedrorox03 It is possible that the cheezies created their own arrangement of Hallelujah in 2005 as there are many many arrangements of this beautiful song, but this particular arrangement is by Ethan Sperry for the Miami Glee Club in 2008.

  • is this the univerity in ohio or florida

  • @kemikemo55 Miami University is in Oxford, OH. The University of Miami is in Miami, FL. This is Miami University.

  • magnificent voices.. love them

  • @rothzedm Agreed, Dave. ~P-Stick

  • @itallicpenguin I believe Ethan was inspired to arrange the song for the group as a whole after the Cheezies performed their own arrangement.

  • That was seriously incredible.

  • The great thing about a large ensemble is the fact that it can unleash far more power without sounding forced. It gives a compser or an arranger the opportunity to go from one extreme of softness to the other extreme of very powerful. This is why Beethoven's Ninth and Mahler's symphonies are so effective; imagine this choir accompanied by a symphony orchestra doing this... wow! Having done this kind of thing as a singer and as a musician, it is sooo cool!

  • I thought it couldn't be done with a large choir. Thought the lyrics were too personal to hold the same feeling when sung in a large group.

Well, I've been proven wrong. Big time.

  • this shoulda been the one in shrek

  • This is the best Choir rendition of this song that I've ever heard.

  • Beautiful rendition.

Check put the UNC Clefhangers rendition!

  • Damn... That last few notes got me crying!! Sooooo beautiful!!
