Jiu jitsu is an effective humane way of dealing with someone, it's also very fun to practice with another grappler, plus there's no hard feelings if you get tapped because it brings down your ego and lets you know that the more you lose the MORE YOU LEARN.

Eddie is a solid guy. His book changed my game, not only with the rubber guard, but the flexibility has really opened by other guard games alot. I don't understand why the rubber guard gets so much hate or religious following. Its just another tool in the tool box. When I'm on my back I like to have both a hammer and a screwdriver, it all depends on the situation and the opponent.

Wish there was a 10th planet gym in the UK, or at least one near me :/ There's only so much you can learn from vids.

He's so casual about it xD

the RG is not the solution for every guard problem ever some of the most successful bjj artists are very good with normal guard so if you think this guard will solve all of your problems your out of your mind but i am sure it can help if you use it right. the style of guard somebody uses is always been a preference to me

I fucking LOVE rubber guard. Favorite submission from rubber is the Triangle choke but I'm trying to be more flexible with my submissions, so thanks for the submission tips bro

You can let go, you can grab his leg, you can start striking and hope he lets go to change position. The rubber guard is used more in submission fighting and bjj where usually slams aren't allowed. Sometimes there's nothing you can do about it, and that's why you'll see top ranked fighters get slammed from guard.

You guys have living, fighter raping proof, that Rubberguard works.
Sotiropolous showcased in it his last fight!
By the way, your the man. And thank you for the putting the time into all these videos.
How do you guard against getting picked up and slammed from rubber guard?

See the Stack Attack video. Also, just let go of the RG if you are picked up. Also, using crack head control helps against the stack.

Eddie comes up to my school to give seminars several times a year. We run 10th Planet Victoria (one of Eddie's schools). I am a student under Eddie (a purple belt).
