Compare Reagan's American optimism to Obama's non-stop class warfare. Two diametrical opposites.

I love that this debate is so much more straight forward. The 2012 debates presented President Obama and Governor Romney with fake smiles and two faced postures. In this debate, everything is more clean cut than that. Reagan speaks so casually, and personally. Even Carter does so. I wish I could hope the 2016 election would be like this, but sometimes I think our country is too far gone. It's terribly sad, and quite a shame.
God bless the Unites States of America.

RR basically said to the american people " you can do it! I have faith in you. believe in yourself and lets make America great again" as where obama says " its obvious most of you are a bunch losers and arent capable of doing anything on your own so the govt will just take care of you . . . " Who had more respect for ?

I love how deified Reagan is by the GOP, when Reagan taxed more heavily than Obama, and sold weapons of mass destruction to Iran.

James Earl Carter was/is a man with little or no charisma. He was president in an era of economic decline.Ronald W. Reagan was a man wit an ENORMOUS charisma. Carter was so unpopular at the end of his presidency that almost every republican would be able to defeat him. So this moment in History was very appropriate for Ronald Reagan, much better than in 1976 (with Watergate still in everyones mind).

Carter parts his hair on the left, Reagan - on the right. How appropriate...

How remarkable is history that it does indeed repeat itself again. This time the Democratic party can make national healthcare, deficit spending and weak international policy appear successful and walk on water thanks to a fully compliant press core and news media that bend facts to fit the ever decreasing intelligence of the American voter. The only difference between this debate and what is coming, is that then, Americans understood fully comprehended the issues.
