Queen Rutela's Theme, from the Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Multitracked in real time. These two pianos in my music school's keyboard lab are each capable of recording two tracks. On one piano, I recorded the piano part and a vibraphone that doubles the upper piano part (entrance at 1:06), and on the other piano is a single string part. Multitracked in real time because the recordings are played back and bounce off of each other live.
One night earlier this week, I couldn't sleep, so I spent a couple of hours putting this together.
I have made no effort to hide the fact that I am a huge Legend of Zelda fan, and this arrangement was something I threw together earlier this week, writing/adding the string part after discovering how well it fit with the piano arrangement I wrote last August. This is what I do when I get bored, so I would like to think that occasionally my habits are productive.
For those of you who were wondering what I was doing at 2:11, I was pressing the transposition button on both pianos, with the intent of changing the key because I didn't have the music to play it in that key, but the transposition had not been preset, so it did nothing. I might remake and re-upload this later with this key change already preset.
Watch, comment, and enjoy!
