  • Thanks making this video. It cleared up a lot of questions I had. Can you tell me how big dimensions of the entire sack is with everything packed? I want to know just how much space it will take up in my pack.

  • @dinh429 Not to sure about the exact dimensions but I store mine in my Maxpedition condor 2. It doesnt seem to take up very much space in the bottom of the bag.

  • It looks great and I appreciate your review but a few questions: The rainfly doesn't look like it covers very much on the ends of the hammock. Is that accurate? What is your opinion on that? Have you used the hammock in a rain situation?

  • @lancewillard The the fly is a tad short for heavy rain. It is just fine for drizzles. I have a few other tarps I can use depending on what I am doing and where I am going. I havent really had any serious issues with the hammock as of yet. I used it in the snow last year and it did pretty good.

  • You sound just like Billy Bob Thornton! Great vid, I love my Eno hammock but always bring some extra cordage. I found out backpacking in the Sierras that the Eno slap straps are sometimes more than not, way too small in length for the size of the sequoia trees to tie off of.

  • @blbramer You should here my sling blade imitation hahaha. I will at times make my own slap straps out of 550 cord if I need longer tie offs.

  • This video was great, thanks for putting it up.

  • The slapstrap pros hold 200 lbs on each strap. so that is 400 lbs right there. They are the pro version anyways.

  • Not a word about (serious) rain (storms) ...

The way you have it set up, it looks like the straps and lines may channel rain right into your hammock.

  • There are no other versions of the slap straps. There are only the slap straps and the slap strap pros. Both when used as a pair are capable of holding up to 400 pounds.
