Song by the great German band: Nebelung. Video footage is all taken from the surrounding landscapes of my area, of which this song has taken me through many walks.

Lyrics:

English:

Loneliness

The end of day has dawned
The world glows in the sunset
Night shall soon begin,
Bearing witness to the death of light.

Only in the evening do the lonely know they are alone.

Night hangs heavy with nostalgia
Above the land like a sunken dream.
The sun no longer shines in the skies
And no one longer holds your hand.

Only at night do the lonely understand solitude.

  • Hey,

I'm from Bonn, Nebelungs hometown and I had the Oportunity to see them live in a very small theatre here in Bonn with only 40 seats this August. It was the most amazing concert of my life and it was amazingly cheap with only 8 Euros for them and Quellenthal, who are from Leipzig.

If you ever get the chance to see them live, do it. It was just mindblowing.

May the Æsir watch over you and your families.

    Best regards.

  • Hallo!

That is absolutely wonderful! I think they are some of the greatest musicians, and I always get teased when they post information that they will be playing a concert. :P It is sad when 99% of your favorite bands live and only play shows in Europe and you are stuck in the states. Hopefully one day I can make it to one of their concerts, it would be a true Honor.

May the Aesir bless you and your family all the same! Thank you!

  • If you ever come to Germany, you have to visit Bonn. It may be a rather small city compared to Berlin, Hamburg, Frankfurt and the like, but it has some very nice sights like the birthhouse of Ludwig van Beethoven for example.

Also, you have to go to the historic district at night. Theres a saying over here: Die Welt ist ein Dorf und Bonn ist die Kneipe, (The world's a town and Bonn is the tavern) wich basically is how it is ;)

Again, I wish you all the best

    Daniel

  • Thank you! I do indeed plan on visiting Bonn, I'm not a big fan of the bigger cities, although to me German cities are MUCH more tolerable than american ones, for at least there is a vast history within them. Berlin I'd like to visit only for friends and perhaps some museums, but the rest of my heart lies in the German landscape and smaller towns. :) Bonn is certainly on the list, especially if a Nebelung concert is happening around my visit.

  • And once my funds suffice for my much yearned for trip to Germany, I'll shoot you a message and see what's going on in Bonn. :)

Take care, all the best to you as well!

    Andrew

  • I just listened to a few of your songs and i'm absolutely amazed. Say, is there any way to obtain one of your records on a physical medium?

I'd really like to use it for meditation.

May the Wanders eye guide you.

  • Thank you! Truly glad you enjoy my music. I currently have yet to release a CD (I've had my first one finished in concept for about 3 years now, just not the recording) but if you send me a message with your email address, I'd be happy to send you the few songs that I have finished (or close enough to it) until I get a hard copy CD.

No matter what though, I'll certainly keep you in mind once I ever get the full CD finished. :)

  • Keine sorgen. :)

They are a wonderful band, and I am nearly moved to tears each time I hear their music. And it's no problem you are from Germany, because even tons of my German friends have not heard of them before. :)

Take care, hope all is well in you beautiful homeland. THanks for the compliments. :)
