Sample footage from the cameras and camcorders listed in the title. All equipment was set to full automatic including white balance. The footage was shot late evening on cloudy day. I tried to keep the composition as similar as possible and the distance was exactly the same. The Canon 7D was in the mix for reference. While no corrections were made to footage, I did import all clips into iMovie, edited the length and exported, but that's a typical workflow.

  • dxg i see doesnt pick up great sound right?

  • @cRaZsk8eR129 Yes, I would agree. The sound quality is pretty poor out of the box, very low sensitivity. However, I didn't change anything from defaults. I don't know if you can adjust the sensitivity, maybe there was a windscreen turned on by default which if removed would produce better results. If you're considering that camera, you may want to research these points. Thanks!

  • @darekm101 do you reccomend any video cameras for the budget of $300

because im looking up videocameras and i want one thet is dual

which has a great still photo quality

    and is full hd:] thanks

  • @cRaZsk8eR129 I ended up getting my daughter, the Panasonic HDCTM15 16GB for about $250 from amazon. It's much smaller then the DXG, more responsive, it is full 1080HD and she does like it a lot better. It also has build in 16GB of flash memory in addition to an SD card slot. A lot of good features for a good price, check it out.

  • DARN, I just orderered the DXG, than 5 minutes later I saw this video :(

My CAMERA IS GOING TO SUCK D:

  • @SuperSpoofStudios I wouldn't approach it like that... you might end up liking it, depends on what you will do with it. The DXG does have some advantages over the Panasonics, mainly it can optionally shoot 720p in 60 frames per second. That will get you way cool and very smooth slow motion captures that look pretty cool.

Also, you can still decide, if you bought it from a respectable place you probably have the option of returning it unopened for a full refund. Good Luck!

  • @SuperSpoofStudios it wont, i had the older dxg, they are usually pretty sound. You should update the firmware though to fix the lighting and audio issues

  • @cRaZsk8eR129 apparently its a firmware issue, as is the auto lighting, it was fixed if you update it

  • @darekm101 DXG is $200 the cannon 7D was $1,000 so i think the DXG is a better deal cause the quality is great without the extra $800 :). Plus pansonics test is a bit less detail than the DXG's hope this helped :).

  • @SuperSpoofStudios For the price it is the best you can get.

  • @darekm101 thx :)
