1940 Carl Goldberg Sailplane originally marketed by Comet as a free-flight model. Built and flown by Frank Mehrten. Modified for three-channel RC control and modern OS-52 FS glow engine. Trexler tires. Frank reduced the positive incidence on the main wing from +4 to +1 degrees for less elevator trim change when transitioning from powered flight to power-off gliding. Thanks to Frank for the flight demonstration and construction details on this beautiful old-timer.
Nice model and flying, congratulations..

Love how the translucent covering shows off the beautiful structure of the fuselage design, and that classic red trim... Mr. Goldberg is smiling down for sure!
