my TF2 crashing =/

ok so i was having problems because vista x86 wasn't utilizing all my hardware to its fullest potential, so i decided to install vista x64, and for the most part its been great...
except this little problem here...
get in the game, gets to retrieving server info, just as its getting to sending info it crashes.
(excuse the recording stuff, ive got a full version of fraps, and that desktop recorder doesn't record in game so i had to make two vid's and slap em together, heance the music:P)
if anyone knows of a fix lemme know.
just a quik pointer, ive reinstalled tf2, ive reinstalled steam...neither helped.

i have this problem 2 and have windows 7 32 bit but this sucks srsly

i have got mostly every steam game and it all gets stuck at same pont got a high end pc 2 gb ram and duo core i7 any help will be ammazing thx

From the Steam Play Games Menu, right click on TF2. Choose Properties, then click Launch Options. Paste the following in the box.
+mat_forcehardwaresync 0 +snd_async_prefetch_priority 1
Click Ok and you are ready to go.
Offline and Online Mulitplayer modes will should all work now.
This didnt work for me so maybe it works for u ;) .

i play on a server then the game gets sped up then it crshes with me

Sometimes I can be playing in a server for a good half an hour so and all of a sudden, BAM, it's dead. Sometimes it's only a few minutes. It sucks.

@sadgtw good but -dxlevel 81 made me crash

i know this seems like a radical fix, but im useing windows 7 RC and everything works fine, its free from windows, and im using the 32bit version.
you could give it a go, and to be honest its 100x better then vista :)
