Hi. Check that the house or office power that you are plugging your Mac into, is clean. Particularly look out for fluorescent (tube) lighting. As a sound engineer I have run into noisy electric circuits - ground hum, buzzing, etc., So that is where I look first. I have the same sound coming out of my Mac when I have the overhead fluorescent (tube) lighting on. I use the new energy saving fluorescent bulb in desk lamps for my lighting. Problem gone. In offices, check for improper grounding.
Hello! Any updates on the subject? I have exactly the same issue with my brand new 21.5"iMac. I'm waiting for some magic solution since I have read in forums that some people are getting their defective iMacs replaced by new ones with the same problem (and sometimes even more problems).
My 27" i7 iMac was making this same exact noise, I took it back to the Apple Store today for a full refund. The noise was so loud at times that it was almost deafening. It was exactly this same high pitched, high frequency electronic whine that you show in your video. It was coming from the upper left area on the back of the unit. The noise was loudest when screen brightness was between 50% and 90%, but I could still hear it at full screen brightness. Given, I can hear a CRT TV electronic whine.

I'm on my third 21.5" i3 iMac, all three had the same high frequency noise! Its so annoying.
It's a shame, apple used to be great when it comes to build quality. I'm tempted to ask apple for a refund, then I'm buying a PC and installing linux.

I bet this is what many have complained about in the past.
