I grew up as a Young boy with the Duke Sat afternoons at the local theater. See ya at the next posting Duke

Duke loved this country that gave him opportunity to succeed or fail, without blameing others for his own failures. If he was "Off HIs Meds" he never walked into a classroom and shot innocents like an embittered Lib.

@Eligorguren18 he beat cancer for first time in mid 60's but it returned in 78, he died in 79 RIP Duke..

wayne was popular because ,he made absolutely beautiful pictures. also you had no doubt , telling the good guys from the bad ,or right from wrong. that and he had john ford ,directing.

Ya it is. You should rent the movie The Shootist its the last one he did its kinda based about a Shootist (gunfighter) who is dying of cancer and in a way it also about him because of the westerns that he did and he also was having problems with cancer. Its an excellent movie. I own it and many other that he did.
