Quran says in Sura 4:157-158 "And because of their saying: We slew the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, Allah's messenger - they slew him not nor crucified him, but it appeared so unto them; and lo! those who disagree concerning it are in doubt thereof; they have no knowledge thereof save pursuit of a conjecture; they slew him not for certain. But Allah took him up unto Himself. Allah was ever Mighty, Wise."

This video clip contains a collection of valid evidences that support the authenticity of the Shroud of Turin. Excerpt from National Geographic about the Secrets of the Shroud is for "fair use" and review. The Carbon dating is the only evidence that is against the authenticity of the shroud and National Geographic's video provides the best explanation to refute the claims of medieval forgery.

This Shroud of Turin shall refute that the revelation in Quran Sura 4:157-158. The said verses contradict with the accounts on the 4 gospels of Jesus in the Holy Bible. Even if compared to the words of Lord Jesus, the above verse can be proven to be inaccurate beyond reasonable doubts in accordance with the Mosaic law.

The conclusion that Shroud of Turin is the burial cloth of Lord Jesus comes from the following ten (10) material facts:-

1. The image on the shroud could not be duplicated or reproduced exactly by any latest photographic technology;

2. The striking negative image was first observed on the evening of May 28, 1898 on the reverse photographic plate of amateur photographer Secondo Pia who was unexpectedly allowed to photograph it as part of an exhibition for the Turin Cathedral;

3. Professor of Ancient History Dr Daniel Scavone testified that no ancient artists have produced similar paintings of Jesus;

4. Shroud Documenting Photographer Barrie M. Schwortz , an Orthodox Jew testified that he believed the shroud is the burial cloth of Jesus;

5. Forensic pathologist Fred Zugibe believed that the image of the crucified man match the accounts mentioned in the Gospel of John 19:34 (But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water);

6. Textile historian Flury-Lemberg testified that the shroud or linen was found in the first century similar to the one she saw at Masada, Israel;

7. The explanation for the radiocarbon dates on the Shroud of Turin being younger than the time of Christ is that the sample of shroud used for carbon dating and original shroud are not identical. There is some kinds of manipulation or ignorance to use the sample taken from the medieval repair patch due to a fire in 1532.;

8. Kenneth Steven Author of Shroud and the Controversy testified that pollen grains found on the shroud were available in Europe, Palestine, Southern Turkey, Masada etc which mean this shroud is likely to be carried to those places at certain time in the past.;

9. The bodily injuries of the crucified man fit exactly with Lord Jesus mentioned in the Holy Bible. Visible injuries are the lashes at the back of the body, pierced wounds at the base of the thumb and feet, spear wound at the chest and injuries at the shoulder from carrying rough object likely the cross beam for the crucifixion.;

10. The early Church has always believed it to be the burial cloth of Jesus ever since it was reportedly seen as the Edessa Cloth in Constantinople in 944 AD. Now it is permanently kept in the royal chapel of the Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist in Turin, Italy -- hence known as Shroud of Turin.

Quote from Barrie M. Schwortz
"Frankly, I am still Jewish, yet I believe the Shroud of Turin is the cloth that wrapped the man Jesus after he was crucified. That is not meant as a religious statement, but one based on my privileged position of direct involvement with many of the serious Shroud researchers in the world, and a thorough knowledge of the scientific data, unclouded by media exaggeration and hype. The only reason I am still involved with the Shroud of Turin is because knowing the unbiased facts continues to convince me of its authenticity."

Jesus lived a perfect life, He died for the sins of mankind, He was raised from the dead, and then He ascended into heaven. By accepting him as Lord and Savior by grace through faith we are forgiven. Christians don't base these beliefs on the Shroud of Turin or any other ancient artifact. Rather, Christians have faith in Lord Jesus and accept these things because of a belief in the truthfulness of the Holy Bible.

  • BREAKING NEWS ... well not so breaking ... this info. has been in the bible for a long way. JESUS ... was wrapped in a head wrap .. and .. a body wrap. Therefore WE KNOW from the BIBLE ... that the SHROUD OF TURIN .... can not be that of JESUS !!! ... end of conversation.

  • @CRAZYtomboy1996 Under the law of Yahuwah (YHWH) God, you need 2 eye-witnesses to establish every word in question. I have 2 witnesses called Apostle Matthew & John Mark who wrote from what Apostle Peter told him. Matt 27:59 And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth. Mark 15:46 And he bought fine linen, and took him down, and wrapped him in the linen, and laid him in a sepulchre which was hewn out of a rock, and rolled a stone unto the door of the sepulchre.

  • Aramaic version: Mark 15:46 And Joseph bought fine linen, and took it down, and wrapped it in the linen, and deposited it in a sepulchre that was hewed in a rock, and rolled a stone against the door of the sepulchre.

    Matt 27:59 And Joseph took the body, and wrapped it in a winding-sheet of clean linen. Jewish culture in the first century did not practise mummy form of burial. The corpse of Yahushua (Jesus) was wrapped with a linen cloth in a hurry. Mary returned to tomb for proper embalming

  • Jesus wasn't die on the cross, but he was die on ground. the burial cloth was prove it. becaus a death man not blood

  • @superjasmerah John 20:6 And after him came Simon; and he entered the sepulchre, and saw the linen cloths lying;

    John 20:7 and the napkin, that had been wrapped about his head, was not with the linen cloths... 2 eye-witnesses who saw the crucifixion and buried Jesus in the tomb. John 19:38 After these things, Joseph of Ramath, for he was a disciple of Jesus And Pilate permitted. And he came, and bore away the body of Jesus.

    John 19:39 And there came also Nicodemus, ... No guesswork

  • @superjasmerah Yahushua was dead on the Cross about 3PM and He must be buried before 6PM under the Jewish law. The nail wounds produced miraculous mark on the linen cloth because it is a sign to prove that crucifixion was real. Under scientific explanation it was the resurrection energy from Yahuwah God who gave the power to raise His Son Yahushua from His dead so that He could authenticate His prophecies before His death. Yahuwah and Yahushua are One; they never lied.

  • Jesus was a reformer. He saw a problem in society and fought hard to change it. Those who believed in his views of the world created a religion. Sort of like how our finding fathers created our "American way of life." Tell me the difference between the two. Social reform people. And now like all views, the powerful have taken over those who believe and corrupted them. If Jesus was alive to day he would be slapping people. He would tell you not to blindly follow anything but to live your life.

  • @HeroOfChristArchives Jesus Christ: the 1st the Last = Isaiah 44:6; 48:12; Revelation 1:8; 1:17-18; 22:13. Jesus Christ in the Old Testament = Exodus 24:9-12; 6:2-5; 33:11; Genesis 18; 32:30; Numbers 12:4-9; Deuteronomy 34:10. Jesus Christ and His Father are One: John 14:9; 10:30. He created ALL things: John 1:1-5 & v14. He is the IMAGE of the invisable God: Colossians 1:15-20; He is DIETY: Colossians 1:9 - He is the ALMIGHTY: Rev 1:7-8 and Rev 22. MARANATHA

    Your "almighty god" has a God.

    A) There is one God. (Malachi 2:10; James 2:19; 1 Corinthians 8:6; 1 Timothy 2:5)

    B) Jesus has a God. (Matthew 27:46; Mark 15:34; John 20:17; 1 Peter 1:3; Romans 15:6; 2 Corinthians 1:3, 11:31; Ephesians 1:3, 1:17; Colossians 1:3)

    C) The God of Jesus is the one God. (John 5:44, John 17:3; 1 Timothy 1:17)

    D) Ergo, Jesus is not God. (Numbers 23:19; Mark 10:18, Mark 13:32, Mark 15:37)

    You're a polytheist. Also, you worship a man.

  • @HeroOfChristArchives John 1:1-5 & v14; John 14:9; John 10:30; Colossians 1:15-18; Titus 2:13; Revelation 1:7-8; Revelation 22:8-21 - Just a few. You think Jesus was an ordinary man? You're mistaken. He is ALMIGHTY GOD.....He Created the Universe and everything beyond. He is the King of the Jews, the King of kings, the Lord of lords, the Messiah of Israel, the Savior of the World. He is the ROCK, and there is NO other. He is the 1st and the Last: Isaiah 44:6, 48:12; Rev 1:8, 17; 22:13

  • @JesusHoldMyHand1 {Continued}

    Lastly, anyone with cognizance can read Acts 3:13 and ascertain that Jesus is not the God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, but is His servant.

    "The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob — the God of our fathers — has glorified His servant Jesus, whom ye delivered up and denied..." (Acts 3:13)

    Don't blaspheme. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is the God of Jesus.

  • @JesusHoldMyHand1

    Where can I read an accurate, eye-witness account of Jesus' death?

    Should I be looking for that account somewhere in the Old Testament?

    Of course not. You evaluate the contemporaneous sources written shortly after Jesus' earthly ministry. Jesus is never recorded as having a beard. Actually, we know next to nothing about Jesus' physicality other than his Jewish heritage and Galilean upbringing. The other passages you referenced don't pertain to this debate.

  • @HeroOfChristArchives Oh yes, Isaiah did talk about Christ being "pierced" for our trangressions......You should read Isaiah 53. Do you also Deny David's Psalm 22? Who was first - David or Isaiah? You also deny Zechariah 12:10. Of course you do. Why don't you read the Bible? I quoted the Bible, you haven't quoted anything. God Almight IS JESUS CHRIST - THE SAME GOD MOSES SAW IN EXODUS 24:9-12. You have to read Scripture first before you flame........

  • @JesusHoldMyHand1

    Look, I'm not going to take you seriously. The Book of Isaiah, written ca. 700 BCE, does not document Jesus' death by crucifixion. However, the Gospels do. Jesus is no where recorded as having sported facial hair. You're just making stuff up. People like you are the primary reason why I don't typically associate with Christians. You're gullible, uneducated, willfully ignorant and easily misinformed. And the Bible is NOT the "Word of God." That would be Jesus.
