I apologize here in the description for nerdiness, foul language, and abrupt volume changes.

I'm only kindof sorry, really. Hope you guys like :B

NOTES:
- I guess my red contacts don't really show up on video. Dernit. Oooooh well, they're there: http://bit.ly/10VrWN
- thought of doing German accent and it sounded goofy. My over-achieving sibling is the one who's good at dialects, not me OH WELL
- I've been fiddling with my wig since this video, it's much improved now! http://bit.ly/13OObr

  • okay, i think i've already commented on this video, but the pure awesomeness of Prussia lured me back!

i've actually never seriously considered cosplaying until recently, when i looked at the prices for some of the outfits. i thought, "wow, i could easily save up enough money for this. it might take a while, but..." so yeah, i've been going from cosplay clip to cosplay clip, asking the same thing: how much did it cost for your entire outfit? clothes, wig, gilbird/iron cross, etc.

  • @autumn82697 hard to say how much, cause all the pieces were bought/made at different times. Wig was about $20, Gilbird and Iron cross were made for probably less than $5 altogether, Boots were bought years before for $30 or so, contacts were $30ish, I already had the tie and black collared shirt, leather gloves were $10, and the fabric for the uniform probably cost me at least $30. Altogether my cosplays usually start adding up into the $200 range when you take it ALL into consideration.

  • @keikana yeah, that's about how much i thought it would be. how hard was it to make the uniform? do you need to have any special lessons or something?

  • @autumn82697 depends on the amount of sewing skill you have already? It's fairly easy to put together following a pattern, but I still went to a seamstress for help in making it look nice and fitted and making the seams clean, etc. If you're not confident in your sewing ability, making a whole garment from scratch is really tough, it's often easier to commission it, or buy something premade/close and tailor it to you, too.

  • How did you make the Gilbird? Is he glued to your wig, or attatched to a head band or something? I don't cosplay Prussia (I actually cosplay Daisy Vargas, Fem!North Italy) but I'd LOVE to go to school with a Gilbird on my head! SHARE YOUR SECRET. AND MAKE IT NON-SECRET, OH AWESOME PRUSSIA.

  • @xTheGerbilx he's based on an anime character from a series called Axis Powers Hetalia. They're anthropomorphic interpretations of nations/etc. It's a totally silly, lighthearted take on world history and shouldn't be taken seriously in any way whatsoever!
