Baby Raccoons Stuck in Storm Drain System

I heard this terrible squealing outside my house. I traced the noise to the storm gutter. After seeing "It," by Stephen King, I was paranoid of the drain, lol!

At first...I thought it might be rats until I saw two very small raccoons peer out of a hole. Even Gremlins came to mind.

I have raised two raccoons and was positive that these were their babies...somehow got stuck down there and couldn't get out.

You can't see anything, but you can hear them respond to me, especially when I used a red Army light.

I later put out cat food (which the raccoons love,) which drew the mother who heard their cries finally.

She hung upside-down, grabbed one baby out, then later came back for the second who was really upset. I couldn't film that part because she got uspet while I was near the grate

Yep, they did. I baited the mother raccoon with cat food and she heard their cries and rescued them. There were two babies as small as newborn kittens but fuzzier.

I would call Animal Control. And if they couldn't or wouldn't come and get them out, those raccoons woul be on their own. At least they would be a few less raccoons to knock over peoples' trash cans and crap up their attics.
