First track of the 12" Samhain EP "Unholy Passion". Released in 1985 on Plan 9 Records. This record isn't in print anymore, only 1700 copies + 1 testpressing exist.

Hey. I think I read it somewhere else before, but why is the unholy passion track different here than the one on the box set. I think i remember someone saying it was a final descent version.???

This is the original mix from the 12". The Box Set version is remastered.

Danzig re-recorded all the guitars (removing Damien completely) and also re-did some of the vocals and released the remixes on "Final Descent" in 1990. Some say he did it so he wouldn't have to pay Damien anymore, but that doesn't make sense since Damien's on "November Coming Fire"

This is my first time hearing the originals. So far I like them better.

Thanks for posting the original record mix. This is the version that I listened to back in the 80's. It sounds much more dark and spookier to me. I was disapointed when final descent came out and I heard the remixes. The originals should have been added to the box set. I still remember when I bought it on vinyl and hid the "boob cover" from my mom.
