My son's marching band in 1996 played HAVE YOU HEARD, LETTER FROM HOME AND MINUANO in band competitions in Southern California, the west and nationally. They won most of their competitions because of their artistry, and this wonderful music that they performed brilliantly. Pat Metheny is an inspiration to all that love music. He is one of the all time greats I have ever heard. This music penetrates my soul and it makes my cry it is so beautiful. There is nothing like it!

This, 'First Circle,' 'Third Wind,' 'Have You Heard,' and 'A Place In the World' would be a great mix on one's IPod for a cross-country drive on one of those straight Midwestern/

Western highways. You'd definitely never get white line fever. Thanks for posting.

Pat is an amazing player, but I feel that he's a better compositor. His style is so... unique.

Actually, in an arrangement I just got for my school jazz band it's 6/8 with a 3/4 feel from the bass and 6/8 feel from set at the same time. Too bad that I don't think we're gonna do it

I would expect that thay had to do major work on this building after this because this big band blew the roof of the place that night!This is fantastic would of loved to have seen this live.Seen Pat many times but is this something else a big wall of sound.Will be seeing Pat in September counting the days.
