THE RESPONSE http://www.theresponsemovie.com is a courtroom drama based on the actual transcripts of the Guantanamo Bay military tribunals [officially known as the Combatant Status Review Tribunals]. Conceived in the vein of "12 Angry Men", the film revolves around the trial of a suspected enemy combatant and the military judges who must decide his fate. The film stars Aasif Mandvi ("The Daily Show"), Kate Mulgrew ("Star Trek: Voyager") and Peter Riegert ("Animal House," "The Sopranos"). Awarded the 2009 ABA Silver Gavel for Drama & Literature, the movie has been screened at the Pentagon and the Dept of Justice.
