Joey Wilson and Neal Patwari of the University of Utah's SPAN lab conduct an experiment with multiple people moving in known paths within a wireless network. Wireless radios surround the area where the people move, and each records the signal strength of the network links. By keeping track of the location of each person, statistics on received signal strength in the wireless network can be determined. The music beat helps each participant to walk at the same speed along the defined paths.
